For better communication with your beloved furry friend, you should pair your verbal cue with a body signal.

Dogs are exceptional at reading and noticing people’s body language, because that’s how they communicate with other canines in packs as well as in different social situations.

One signal that’s pretty popular is the open-hand signal, which can be used when you train your pooch to sit.

To make your dog understand your command, open your hand each time you say “sit”. Sooner or later, your pup will associate your hand gesture with the desired behavior, and they’ll sit when you open your hand.
