These dogs are goofy, and they have a somewhat nervous nature, but they are delightful companions. They like to be around their owners and are the ideal breed if you live in an apartment.
Even if they might be a little energetic from time to time, they don’t require much exercise. A short walk and they will be good for the rest of the day. And this is exactly why we say they are great for seniors.
The Brussels, weighing 6 to 12 pounds, is another petite breed with quite moderate maintenance requirements. Brushing the spiky coat is necessary, but thorough grooming is not needed. Further, the breed is generally healthy and well-mannered.
