Oldest Surviving Rescue Dog From 9/11 Gets A Fantastic Birthday Party

Britney is the oldest surviving rescue dog from the 9/11 terrorist attack. She spent days scouring ground zero for survivors from the attack. Sadly, the dog spent more time recovering then rescuing lives since few survived. But her role was so important, and people wanted to recognize her important work when she turned 15 years old in 2015.

Rescue dogs are important because their keen sense of smell and plays an important role in search and rescue efforts. There were long hours during the 9/11 rescue efforts. And at the time, the dog was only 2 years old.
