An elderly couple adopted a dog that they were struggling with for a while. A week into the adoption, they thought they might return the dog because it didn’t seem like a good fit for them. But the decided to give it more time and work with the dog so they didn’t have to return her to a shelter.
And thanks to the dog’s quick actions one night, they are immensely glad they made that decision. The wife awoke to the sounds of the dog whimpering. When she looked over at her husband, she realized the dog was standing on the man’s chest crying out.
