Pit Bull Who Started Out Shy And Hid From Foster Family Becomes So Playful

Dogs who have been abandoned or lost their owners are sometimes skittish around other people. They’ve loved and lost and are unable to justify what has happened to them. To protect themselves from getting hurt emotionally again, they just shut down around other people. That’s the story of one rescued pit bull once she arrived at a foster home.

The dog would sit outside hiding behind a planter. Sometimes, if the foster family would say her name, she’d peek her head up to take a look. But she never ran or jumped to go and meet them. This dog would need some serious time to learn to trust and love again.
