When rescuers came to the aid of this dog, he was basically skin and bones. They found him on train tracks and he had clearly been heavily neglected. Weighing only 10 pounds, he needed serious medical treatment and food and water right away. The rescue team put him in a medical facility to help him recuperate.
But as he got stronger, he was ready for a forever home. They put him in a foster home where they named him Maverick. Maverick started to show his true personality. He was spunky and so grateful to anyone who would give him attention. He smothered his new foster family in kisses showing his appreciation.
