Louie is a sheepdog that had once been so spry. But at the age of 13, the dog was moving much slower. So when the dog ran off one day sprinting toward something, the dog’s owner was very worried. Then, they learned of another neighbor’s dog who had also run off and they were worried about what might be going on.
The owner placed the dog’s food outside and tried to shake it to make some noise, hoping that the elderly dog would return. But he didn’t. Then the owner thought of the fact that she’d heard that elderly dogs sometimes go off to spend their final moments in peace to pass away and she was so heartbroken.
