#1 The Funnel-Web Spider

The Funnel-Web Spider is a venomous spider that is native to Australia. It is considered to be one of the most venomous spiders in the world, and its venom can be dangerous to humans. The venom of the Funnel-Web Spider is a neurotoxin, which means that it affects the nervous system.

This spider lives in a tunnel or funnel-shaped web and is typically found in eastern and southern Australia. The spider is smooth and shiny, and its color is often black or dark brown. Its normal size ranges from 0.5 to 2 inches. But in 2016, researchers at the Australian Reptile Park welcomed the largest Funnel-Web Spider specimen ever recorded: a male with a four-inch leg span!

Despite being venomous, Funnel-Web Spider bites are exceedingly rare due to their solitary lifestyle, and the spider usually only bites in self-defense. However, it’s important to get medical help as quickly as you can if you’ve been bitten. There is an antivenom, and with prompt treatment, fatalities from bites are uncommon.
