#2 The Saw-Scaled Viper
The Saw-Scaled Viper, often called the Carpet Viper, is a venomous snake that is found in the Middle East and Central Asia’s dry scrublands and deserts. It is regarded as one of the deadliest snakes on the planet due to its incredibly strong venom. The hemotoxin in the venom of the saw-scaled viper damages blood cells, resulting in internal bleeding.
The Saw-Scaled Viper is a tiny snake that normally grows to be between two and three feet long. It has distinctive scales on its underside that resemble “saws,” which it grinds together to make a warning noise when disturbed. Usually brown or gray in hue, the snake has several darker bands going across its body.
More human fatalities are attributable to the Saw-Scaled Viper than to any other snake species. Due to its aggressive nature and extremely poisonous venom, it is regarded as the leading cause of snake bite-related fatalities in many places. If antivenom is not administered immediately after a bite from this snake, it can be lethal. But the death rate is typically minimal with prompt medical intervention.
