Scarlet is a pit bull that suffered from many health conditions, leaving her at the mercy of a shelter. Her owner could not afford to keep her and was devastated to have to give her up. When she arrived at the shelter, the staff immediately fell in love with this dog that had so much charm.
Even though it broke her owner’s heart, the owner did the right thing in dropping Scarlet off at the shelter instead of just abandoning her. The shelter was able to provide the treatment she needed. Namely, Scarlet got chronic ear infections and was deaf.
