Woman Adopts Great Dane And Discovers He Has 28 More Teeth Than He Should

When you adopt a dog, you sometimes get great surprises from the process. One new pet owner got a huge shock when inspecting her great dane’s mouth and ended up with enormous vet bills for the dog. You see, the dog had 70 teeth, which is about 28 teeth more than normal for a dog of that breed.

The woman and her vet were both shocked by the realization. He had the extra teeth removed and had to go on a soft food diet for a while to recover from the experience. The dog was only a year old and they believe he retained baby teeth. The vet removed 21 teeth to help the dog with the issue.
