#7 Black Widow Spider
Without the well-known black widow, a list of deadly spiders in North America would fall short. The northern black widow, western black widow, and southern black widow are a few of the species that make up this group.
The females of this species, which are distinguishable by their black bodies and red hourglass patterns on their abdomens, are around 1 or 2 inches long when their legs are fully extended, whilst the males are considerably shorter. Additionally, their venom glands are disproportionately large for their size.
It is among the most harmful spider species because of its extremely strong neurotoxin, which can induce severe pain, cramping in the abdomen, nausea, sweating, and a rapid heartbeat. Instead of a poisonous bite, they frequently deliver a dry one. The good news is that its bite is rarely lethal, even if it does contain venom.
Thankfully, black widows rarely attack humans unless they feel intimidated or provoked.
