As they like spending time with their family and receiving lots of love and cuddles, Birmans are peaceful and loving cats. Both children and other pets get along well with them.
Although they enjoy cuddling up in your lap, they also possess a very playful nature and will eagerly chase after things you’ve thrown.
Even though the coat is long and fluffy, it is not very difficult to maintain. The lack of a deep undercoat in Birmans, like the Ragdoll, makes grooming simple and reduces shedding to a minimum.
