Elderly Dog Gets Adopted But Stays Guarded Around New Family For A While

Chewie the dog was an elderly dog when he got adopted. It’s often difficult for elderly dogs to get adopted but Chewie had such a sweet disposition that a couple fell in love with him immediately. They decided to take him home. But as they called to the dog and showed him how much they cared, the dog remained guarded.

He did not seem to understand that he had a new home with a loving family. He instead stayed back from his owners and tried survey the situation from afar. Then when they got him home, he leapt through the front door, finally understanding what was happening.
