#6 Speaking of whales, the difference is outstanding!

This picture shows just how lucky you have to be to get some time for that perfect shot and how thankful we should all be for technology. These shots have been made with a drone, and they show the exact same killer whale (or orca) almost one year apart. What is even more outstanding is the story behind these pictures.

The orca was seen in 2019 with her calf, only for it to die soon after. The mom was devastated and did her best to not let the body of the baby sink, only to disappear from the scientist’s radar until the drones spotted her again almost a year later!

You can see from her physique that the changes are obvious. She was pregnant again, and from how wide her middle was, we can see just how big these whales can get when pregnant! Hopefully, the mom had a happier pregnancy this time!
