Glycol ethers

Cleaners that we use to remove stains can sometimes be double-toxic if they also contain glycol ethers. This chemical compound is often found in items such as carpet cleaners, spot removers, and even glass cleaning products, but it is also present in some cosmetic products and in liquid soaps.

They are not going to do immediate damage to either pets or humans, but long-term exposure has been linked to anemia, kidney and liver damage, and lung issues.

It’s a great idea to check the label of that Windex bottle and instead maybe opt for a more natural window cleaner, as this is the easiest product to replace when it comes to cleaning items!

And chemicals are not the only items that are toxic and dangerous for your pets! Read all about the most toxic foods your cat should never eat here!
