Phthalates

These are a type of chemical ingredient that is sometimes found in the ingredient list of most products under fragrances. This is why phthalates are most commonly found in air and carpet fresheners and even in linen sprays if you like to freshen up your bedding from time to time.

Since they are products meant to reduce or eliminate odors in the home, they are used by many of us. The bad news is that if the products we use contain phthalates, they can end up being detrimental to our pet’s health if used around the animal or if they end up inhaling them.

They are also detrimental to human health, but they are still present in many of our products. If you keep using these products, make sure that you use them when your fluffy friend is not in the room. It would be the safest option for them, besides giving up on the products!
