#3 You Have a Young Puppy
Usually, healthy puppies eat once every few hours. Dogs of small breeds are at a higher risk of experiencing hypoglycemia. This means that their blood sugar level is so low that it puts their lives in danger. Therefore, they should be regularly monitored for symptoms of lethargy or collapse if they are not being fed properly. If this occurs, the puppies need urgent medical care.
Some puppies might not enjoy larger kibble because it might be difficult for their baby teeth to chew it, particularly when they are just starting out on solid food. This problem can be solved by adding water and letting the mixture sit to make more of a porridge-like texture, or the kibble could be blended with canned food.
If your pup still won’t eat, you should take them to the vet right away. They should be examined immediately if they’re also sluggish, throwing up, or experiencing diarrhea.
