Abnormal body temperature
As toxins unleash their full potential only when they reach the body, you might notice your dog’s temperature rising or falling.
Well, low body temperature is also known as hypothermia. Fever and elevated body temperature are known as hyperthermia.
Also, continuous muscle tremors or seizures might cause your dog’s body temperature to rise quickly. If you suspect your dog is unwell, then you should grab a thermometer and check the temperature.
Sores and burns
Caustic substances might cause sores on the skin and in the mouth. Most of these harmful chemicals could irritate the skin and oral cavity as long as the dog comes into contact with any of them. Some plants might damage the skin, especially if they’re chewed.
It’s true that rinsing the area might minimize the damage caused by irritation, but it’s still highly important to call your vet and ask for further advice.
