15 Foods You Should NEVER Share With Your Dog

Xylitol

Whether it’s candy, gum, toothpaste, baked goods, or any other diet food that might be sweetened with xylitol, don’t share it with your dog.

It might cause your dog’s blood sugar to drop and even cause liver failure. Some of the earliest symptoms include vomiting, lethargy, and other coordination problems.

Ultimately, your dog might suffer from seizures, and liver failure might happen within a couple of days.

Avocado

You might be wondering if a guacamole treat would harm your dog. After all, it is healthy for humans, right?

Well, not really, as avocados have something known as persin. While it might be okay for people, dogs can’t take this substance because they might suffer from diarrhea and vomiting.

Also, if you want to grow your own avocado tree, make sure you keep your dog away from it. You know how they say: out of reach, out of sight, out of mind, and when it comes to persin, it only takes your dog to sniff a leaf to get in contact with the substance.
