Japanese Spitz

Even if the Japanese Spitz is a much smaller dog, they are also described as having the heart of a big watchdog.

They are compact and courageous dogs, extremely vocal, alert, and protective. The Japanese Spitz is super pleasant easy-going, and very eager to please, which makes them great with children.

The Japanese Spitz dogs also require moderate amounts of exercise, and they can easily adapt to different lifestyles, as long as you still provide them the appropriate amounts of outdoor time.

Karelian Bear Dog

The Karelian Bear Dog was originally developed in Finland to hunt aggressive game like bears, wild boar, and lynx.

They are extremely fearless, they pack a ton of determination and they’re also loud hunters, howling and barking all day long.

This breed is naturally aggressive with other animals (I mean, they used to hunt BEARS), so if you’re an inexperienced dog owner, we don’t recommend a Karelian.

However, with enough socialization, training, and tons of exercise, they can be loving and loyal companions.
