Bluetick Coonhound

The Bluetick Coonhound is a big hunting dog that descends from the French Grand Bleu de Gascogne and the English Foxhound.

They have a very long, drawn-out howl they love to bawl out on the hunt. You will soon see their sweet puppy dog look, as they are known to love all people. That’s probably one of the reasons why they’d make such a good family dog.

You might notice they still have the typical hound dog stubbornness, so you might have to include persistent and patient training in their schedule.

Bloodhound

I love Bloodhounds! These large and muscular dogs originally came from medieval France. They were bred to sniff out boars and deer.

They are extremely independent and determined, which makes them enthusiastic, skilled, howling hunters. On top of that, they are also extremely affectionate! This is probably one of the most intelligent and active breeds, which also implies they need tons of exercise and will keep following any scents, even off-leash.

They are extremely loved for their sweet and sensitive dispositions, even if they’re a bit stubborn.
