#7 Sea Pen
This fascinating creature can be found at the bottom of the sea. Truthfully, where else could we find such an animal that resembles a quill so well? In the end, this peculiar resemblance is also what gave it its iconic name.
Despite the fact that they look like they could be seaweed or part of a coral reef as underwater plants, they are indeed creatures, and they are very diverse as well. Sea pens can either be yellow, white, or dark orange, and their height can reach up to almost 16 inches!
The fun thing about these creatures is that each sea pen is a polyp colony that works to survive and live together. When stimulated, touched, or attached, the sea pen will glow a bright green color!
You can find them in the Pacific Ocean, and if you like diving, you can even catch them all the way from the Gulf of Alaska to the seafloor of California!
