These ancient felines are natural-born runners. Egyptian Maus are the fastest runners of all domestic cat breeds. With their unusually long legs and athletic bodies, they can run up to 30 miles per hour! Isn’t that amazing?
They are also known for being quite shy when meeting new people or new pets. Usually, they hide under the bed or stay quiet in a corner when people they don’t know are around. And this is also the time when they can become violent. If you don’t respect their need for space, Egyptian Maus might become upset and angry at everybody who threatens their territory.
Hopefully, if you are socializing them since they are young, these felines can easily accommodate meeting new pets and people. Since they are smart, they are also a breeze to train.
