An elderly couple adopted a dog that they were struggling with for a while. A week into the adoption, they thought they might return the dog because it didn’t seem like a good fit for them.
But the decided to give it more time and work with the dog so they didn’t have to return her to a shelter.
And thanks to the dog’s quick actions one night, they are immensely glad they made that decision. The wife awoke to the sounds of the dog whimpering.
