Navy Veteran Forced To Put His Dogs Up For Adoption When His Health Starts Failing

A navy veteran loved his two dogs immensely. When a heart attack landed him in a hospital, his first question was where his dogs were. Then he was diagnosed with a heart condition and could no longer give his dogs the love and attention they needed. He gave them up for adoption with a very heavy heart.

A local animal organization had made sure that his dogs were cared for until the man was well again. He would be able to pick the dogs back up when he got better. But as the weeks passed, the shelter called the hospital to see what was going on. The man had a secondary infection and things didn’t look good.
