The way some people treat animals is shocking and disturbing. Patrick the pit bull was left outside in the cold for days. And then just as it seemed things might get better for the dog when someone approached him, they thrust him down the garbage shoot instead. It was a 22-floor drop to the bottom of the shoot.
There he was at the mercy of a trash compactor and thankfully, the operator took a moment to check the trash pile before running the compactor. The operator find poor Patrick and stepped in to help him.
