#7 Chihuahua
The chihuahua breed standard as set forth by the American Kennel Club specifies that this dog should not weigh more than 6 pounds and should grow to a height of between 5 and 8 inches. Since the chihuahua Milly stands only 3.8 inches tall, it has currently been determined that she is the tiniest dog in the world.
This breed typically has a lifespan of 14 to 16 years. This dog’s coat can be either long or short, and it should be properly maintained. Any color and any markings or splashes are possible for this breed.
Chihuahuas are small dogs, but they act like big dogs. Compared to other breeds, this one is more likely to have heart issues. In 1908, the Chihuahua was recognized by the American Kennel Club.
