Oriental Shorthair
This cat breed has two varieties: shorthair and longhair. Oriental Shorthairs are more recommended for allergy sufferers, mostly due to their short, silky coats and scarce shedding.
If you’re interested in getting an oriental shorthair, remember that regular brushing keeps their fur in proper condition.
Colorpoint Shorthair
A very close cousin of the Siamese cat, the Colorpoint Shorthair is becoming more popular, but it’s still not recognized as a breed, at least not officially.
Just like Siamese cats, the Colorpoint Shorthairs are all chatty and sensitive to your moods, so if you are looking for a silent kitty, a Colorpoint Shorthair may not be the best choice for you.
