Protective Dog Stays In Harm’s Way During House Fire Until Owner Is Safe

Shay was a 14-year-old dog when he put himself in serious harm’s way to protect his owner. The dog and his owner were trapped in a house fire. While the dog could have made his way to safety without a problem, he stayed with his owner protecting him. The dog would not let his owner be left behind in the flames, and the story is truly touching.

By the time the firefighters arrived, the dog and his owner were passed out on the floor. Shay had positioned himself to block the flames from his owner to save her. He and his owner are doing fine now thanks to his bravery.
