Dog That Lived At A Shelter For 1,000 Days Finally Gets A Home

A pittie lived 1,000 days at a shelter. When he first arrived, it was clear that he was fearfully and staff was troubled by what the dog must have been through. To help ease his transition, the dog lived in the office with the shelter staff as they got to know him better.

And with time, the staff came to love the dog quite deeply. One staff member called the dog the best roommate she’s ever had. He was gentle, caring and seemed to know when the staff was having a bad day. He would swoop in and try to make it better.
