Biewer Terrier

Since the American Kennel Club officially recognized the rarer breed of Biewer terrier in 2021, the breed’s popularity has grown rapidly. Regular brushing is necessary for their coats, but not as much as other breeds on the list. However, keeping them clipped short facilitates this process.

Because they are intelligent, these adorable lap dogs will enjoy both playing games indoors or going on lengthy walks outside, depending on what you want to do. They’re super calm and friendly, and easy to train too.

Bolognese

These tiny lap dogs are so cute and fluffy that you will want to smooch them all day long! Bolognese are super social and friendly; that’s why they need extra attention from their owners. So don’t be surprised if they will be mad at you if you leave them home alone for too long.

I’d recommend keeping their coat short so you won’t have to groom them every day twice a day and still see a lot of hair on the floor.

Miniature Schnauzer

Living up to their name these lap dogs are adorable and super adaptable to any household. From studio apartments to bigger houses, they will be happy anywhere. Little schnauzers are happy dogs that like impressing their owners. Even though they don’t shed much, they might have a lot of coat hair.

They’re also super obedient and easy to train and will learn new things in the blink of an eye without too much effort. Schnauzers are also a great option for seniors who desire a dog but not a big one.
