6. It is ok to give your cat cow milk

If you remember the old cartoons, maybe you also remember how every cat was depicted drinking milk. All of the cats were crazy about milk. In reality, giving your cat milk is not the best thing you can do.

Felines that have a balanced diet will get all of the nutrients they need from there. Most cats are lactose intolerant, and milk will only upset their stomach. If you see cats that are ok with drinking cat milk and nothing happens to them, it’s because they were given cow milk all their lives and now they have the ability to digest it.

If your cat really likes milk and you want to let them drink it, you can always choose to buy the lactose-free version. Also, keep in mind that milk has a fair amount of calories, which can make your cat put on some weight.
