Don’t let yourself be fooled by those small pups. They may look cute and fragile, but under that small package, they have the heart of a warrior. They are feisty and tenacious, sometimes even presenting a bossy attitude.
With their silky coat and big-town attitude, Yorkshire Terriers are a popular breed in the big cities of the Sunshine State. In the past, people used to see them walking around the royal courts of Europe, and now you can easily spot them strolling proudly in downtown Miami.
They are confident and don’t get scared easily. This attitude, along with their size, makes these dogs perfect for city life.
Even if they have long hair, if groomed properly, they will not be bothered by the hot subtropical climate of Florida. But keep in mind that you should never leave your dog alone outside during the hot, sunny summer days, even if they can tolerate the heat.
