Shar-Pei

They have loose wrinkles, purple tongues, and big hearts. What an interesting mix of traits! We can say that these dogs are one of a kind. They originate from China and are born to be watchdogs. Territorial and stubborn, they will protect your home no matter what.

The Shar-Pei is very independent and will survive on its own for a few days when you are visiting your relatives or going for a hike on the weekend. This dog can live with little human interaction and doesn’t mind being alone.

These canines, even if they love their owners and are happy to spend time with them, don’t like community settings like apartment buildings or crowded cities. They also don’t enjoy the company of other dogs.

Since they are so independent, you should start training them at an early age because if you don’t do that, they can be harder to train later in life.
