1. Border Collie

The border collie was born to be a shepherd, so much so that they may start to’ herd’ your family members if they don’t have sheep or other animals around. These pups can learn many tricks, recognize quite a lot of words, and have a work ethic that many can envy.

The border collie is a breed that evolved around the development of sheep farming and the demands of the wool trade in England and Scotland. The harsh environment and the diversity of the terrain are some of the factors that have contributed to the physical and behavioral characteristics of the border collie we know today.

Collies have many qualities. They are highly versatile, have an excellent memory, are agile, and can easily imitate human behavior. Although it may seem like the border collie is the perfect companion, keep in mind that they have tremendous energy and need a lot of exercise and maybe a job.
