2. Alaskan Malamute
The Alaskan Malamute is one of the oldest arctic dog breeds and dates back to 4000 years ago, since ancient times. They have a distinctive appearance, with a broad head and almond-shaped eyes. They look rather wolf-like and resemble their cousins, the Siberian huskies.
They are strong and have a high level of endurance. Because of this, they were used to pull sleds and also for hunting through the deep snow of Alaska.
Malamutes need a lot of physical activity, and they are not the best dogs if you plan to keep them in a tiny home or apartment. They need a lot of space to roam free and play.
Another thing about these canines is that they are very social and adore spending their time with other dogs and also with humans. They are very vocal, and sometimes, just like Huskies, they make a lot of “talking” sounds such as howls, grunts, and whines.
Even if they have a mischievous and independent nature, these pups are still lovable and will always be by your side.
