Frenchies and their large bat ears are adorable, and there is no wonder why they are one of the most popular small-dog breeds in the entire world. But compared to other small dog breeds, the French Bulldog has a very short lifespan of only 9 to 11 years!

French Bulldogs are prone to breathing and respiratory problems as they are brachycephalic. Some breed-specific defects are the everted laryngeal saccules, the elongated soft palate, and the stenotic nares.
