Rottweiler

Rottweilers, known by everyone as dangerous and fierce, can be incredibly loving and affectionate with their family. According to the AKC, rottweilers may appear aloof to outsiders. The breed is descended from ancient mastiffs and was nearly extinct in the late 1800s.

Rotties are a bit smaller than their mastiff cousins, weighing around 100 pounds when fully grown. Still, this doesn’t make them less intimidating. Just take a look at their bite!

Because rottweilers can cause serious injury, it is necessary that they are socialized and trained from an early age so they learn when it is and is not okay to act aggressively. Training can also keep their barking from turning into a problem.
