5. Chihuahua

These tiny and mischievous pups are perfect for small houses and apartments. It is true that they are happiest when they are the center of attention, but you know what? Don’t underestimate them because Chihuahuas are also fairly independent.

If you know that your house is warm and safe, then don’t worry too much; your buddy will be completely okay being left on their own for up to 10 hours. As long as it has some fresh water, food, and toys, your Chihuahua will find something to do if it gets bored.

Remember that there are some pups that are more difficult than others. Because of this, if you plan to let your Chihuahua alone for longer periods of time, be sure to have a firm hand when training them.
