3. Dachshund

This dog is known for being alert all the time and doesn’t hesitate to inform you when he thinks something is not okay. They are very vocal, and if you are not used to this, their constant barking might surprise you. Who needs a Nest cam on their door when they have a loyal Dachshund?

The wiener dog is goofy and can be a real jester sometimes, but keep in mind that they are still hounds that were used for hunting ducks and other small game. So, they will never say no to a game of fetch.

Dachshunds are energetic, and it is extremely entertaining to see them running in circles while barking at the same time. They usually get along well with other pets and would not mind having another dog partner to play with.

Also, they are incredibly affectionate and adore spending their evenings on your lap or following you around the house.
