1. Avocado

The first entry on our list of human foods that are toxic for dogs is avocado.

Hailing from tropical and warm climates, avocados are often highly regarded for the extraordinary nutritional and health benefits they bring to humans. It’s a great source of tons of nutrients and healthy fats, and it’s a staple in a growing number of homes.

However, if you have a dog, don’t be so quick to share your guacamole with them because avocados are one of the worst foods these animals can eat. According to experts, avocado contains a dangerous component known as persin, which has been shown to be very toxic to dogs.

While the human body’s digestive system can process this component, dogs can’t do the same. If it ends up accumulating in their system, it can cause kidney and liver damage. So, make sure you remember that next time you want to feed your furry friend a piece of avocado.
