But this is not entirely true. Yes, you will need to brush their hair pretty often, but at the same time, if you regularly trim their coat, they are not that hard to groom. When trimming their fur, don’t forget about the one that is around their eyes. Doing this will help you avoid eye problems, which means fewer visits to the vet.

Maltese can be an energetic breed, but since they are so small, a short run around the backyard is all that they need to feel like they have had enough physical activity.

Also, they are known for being hypoallergenic dogs. If you have respiratory problems or any pet allergies, the Maltese is perfect for you.
