Why Is This A Problematic Dog Breed?

Size and slobbering tendencies

Saint Bernards, or any other generally larger size dog breeds, have special needs when it comes to space.

And many vets have expressed to us that this particular problematic dog breed, with loads of cheeks, quite honestly, are huge slobberers.

One vet recalls that she had a client once tell her that she had slobber on her ceilings!…

Well, unless you’re a giant, you would need a stepladder on hand at all times to reach it, and quite frankly, do you really need more items in your home to clean without having to worry about the ceilings as well?

We get it: Saint Bernards are adorable dogs, and their personalities are pretty sweet.

But honestly, unless you’re ready to become a cleaning machine, it’s better to skip this problematic dog breed!
