Russian Blue cats are calm, intelligent, and affectionate without being clingy. At first, they may be shy, but as they gain confidence, they become lively and loving.
They adore being part of a family, form strong bonds with just one person, and have a keen sense of their pet parent’s emotions. They are always there to give their owner a hug and show unflinching loyalty when they notice that person is upset.
Russian Blues are sociable but also value quiet time and privacy, so they frequently withdraw to their bed or a secure corner to rest and recover. When with people, they have a strong need for play yet can also be left alone.
