Labrador Retriever

As their name suggests, this breed of labrador loves to retrieve things for their owners, and they are known to be good at that. After all, like other dogs we will talk about later, they were originally kept in order to help hunters, specifically with the retrieval of ducks from water, which puts them in the category of water dogs.

When it comes to their other attributes, they make for amazing service dogs, especially because they are known to be good-natured, friendly, and attentive. Those who have had a lab in their lives always attest to how affectionate they can be.

They are also an amazing breed when it comes to having a family dog, as they are amazing with younger children, but they wouldn’t make the best match for an older person when they are not used as a service dogs.

With everything we have told you about this dog, it would be unimaginable for them to be anything other than energetic. While they do not make the top of the list, they are still a breed that would need long walks and to be kept entertained and active, as otherwise they would get bored.
