6 Top Vacuums for Pet Hair You Need to Try

vacuums for pet hair

These are the best vacuums for pet hair that every single pet parent needs!

Whatever you do, no matter how often you clean after your furry friend, there is always hair on the floor. You tried almost everything that’s written on the internet, but you still have to deal with this situation.

Pet hair in your home can be a bit of a hassle! There are usually two reasons for it: either your vacuum isn’t powerful enough to handle the job, or your furry friend might be shedding more than usual, which could be a sign of a health issue. Don’t worry—let’s tackle it together!

Many customers claim that the stick vacuum is the best, but robot vacuums are also effective at getting rid of pet hair that is difficult to remove. So, without further introduction, let’s see the best vacuums for pet hair that you might want to try ASAP.

Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum

If you always thought of buying a cordless vacuum to help you move around the house much more easily, now is the time. According to the customer’s opinion, one of the best vacuums for pet hair is the Dyson Cyclone V10.

A two-year manufacturer’s warranty, a lightweight, manageable head that can be steered for different angles, an easy-to-use canister with a quick-release lever that pushes dust and debris out, an anti-tangle design that keeps hair from getting caught around the roller brush, and two cordless vacuums in one (power stick and handheld) are all included.

Up to 0.2 gallons can be stored in the bin, and the bulk of the contents can be quickly removed without getting your hands dirty thanks to a point-and-shoot release lever on the bagless canister. Compared to many handheld vacuum models, which frequently unload from the bottom and run the risk of spilling, this is yet another significant improvement.

The main downside of this product is that there might be a necessity to pick by hand some stuff like big kibble. And some people also complained about the noise this vacuum makes, but we don’t think it’s such a big deal. While the price isn’t too “friendly” compared to others on the list, it’s worth the investment.

Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ Cordless Handheld Vacuum

If you’re looking for good but also affordable vacuums for pet hair, we suggest you look for the Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro+ Cordless Handheld Vacuum. What does this product have that makes it special?

Even the most annoying pet hair and kibble leftovers can be picked up with this vacuum from hardwood surfaces. Instead of a conventional brush roll, the pet power brush attachment roll has silicone fins, and when the roll was emptied, not a single strand was discovered surrounding it.

Two extra accessories are included in the box together with the UltraCyclone Pet Pro+: a scrubbing brush to remove waste and dirt from upholstery and a crevice tool to clean in between cushions. It’s also super easy to dispose of all the dirt from the canister.

If the word “cordless” made you a little uncomfortable, don’t worry; this vacuum can also be operated with a cord. Typically, a power cord is included, but the docking station is sold separately. Additionally, a two-year warranty is provided.

Shark WS642AE Wandvac Cordless Stick Vacuum with Self-Empty Charging Base

Among the best vacuums for pet hair that are both efficient and pretty decent when it comes to pricing is the Shark WS642AE Wandvac Cordless Stick Vacuum with Self-Empty Charging Base. Compared to the one mentioned before, it has a built-in comb that loosens hair as you vacuum, which prevents the hair and dirt from clogging the item.

Besides being a great buddy when it comes to cleaning and having a good price, it also comes with a 5-year warranty. The vacuum gets charged using a dock that collects dust and debris via a HEPA filter. The self-emptying mechanism is triggered each time the vacuum is positioned on the dock, drawing the contents of the dust bin out and hiding them. A mute button is prominently placed on top of the dock, and it stays in operation until you press it again.

The excavation is finished in a matter of seconds, but according to a lot of the customers, it is a bit noisy, and it can be disturbing. Even though compared to other powerful vacuums on the list this one has only one power setting, it still does its job perfectly for surfaces like tile, hardwood floors, upholstery, and rugs that aren’t too fluffy.

Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Bagless Canister Vacuum

Different from other vacuums for pet hair mentioned in the article, the Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat & Dog Bagless Canister Vacuum looks like a more classical version of what vacuums used to be but is definitely more powerful.

This time around I will recommend it from my personal experience. With 2 dogs and a cat in my home, there was a lot of hair everywhere even though I used the Furminator on the three of them.

But Miele Blizzard CX1 helped me have a cleaner house. What do I like the most about this vacuum cleaner? The canister features a handle and flooring-friendly wheels, an internal HEPA filter that collects 99.9 percent of dust and dander, six helpful cleaning accessories, a button to retract the power cord, and no need for replacement bags.

To collect pet hair from every angle and floor of a space, the height-adjustable wand is connected to a seven-foot hose. For convenient storage, it also fastens to the canister in an upright position. One more thing though: be careful when you empty the internal bin because it can be easily spilled on the floor.

For those who are interested in this product after reading these lines, you should know it’s sold on Amazon too at the price of $799.20.

Kenmore Pet-Friendly Pop-N-Go Bagged Canister Vacuum

If you think that Miele Blizzard is a little bit too expensive for your budget but you’re still looking for top vacuums for pet hair, you need to try the Kenmore Pop-N-Go. It’s around $300 on Amazon, which is considerably cheaper than other options on the list, and even though it has this price, it still manages to impress pet owners because of its skills.

The best features, according to customers, are its retractable power cord, 360-degree hose swivel, and HEPA filtration. The telescoping wand for reaching ceiling fans and upper corners of rooms is perfect for seniors who are unable to reach higher surfaces on their own or for shorter people (like me). It has a replaceable bag, so it’s important to check the indicator on the screen to see when it needs to be replaced.

It is slightly heavier than other items on the list, which is the only thing that people dislike about it.

Shark RV763 ION Wifi Connected Auto Charging Robotic Vacuum with HEPA Filter

Last but not least in the top vacuums for pet hair you need to try the robotic vacuum from Shark.  Another fantastic robot choice that won’t tug on your purse strings is the Shark Auto Charging Robotic Vacuum. A lot of people tested it with a dog whose hair comes out in clumps in a 1,500-square-foot house, and they were satisfied with the final results.

If you never had a robotic vacuum before, don’t worry because it’s super easy to set it up. Simply unwrap it, attach the side brushes, and connect the docking station. Like other robot vacuums, it can be controlled via an app, but it also has three buttons on top that you can use instead: “DOCK” to send it to its base, “CLEAN” for regular cleaning, and “MAX” for higher suction.

Amazon reviews say that when the Shark robot was used right after a traditional vacuum, it found debris to scoop up and collected a huge amount of dust and pet hair between cleanings. It was also useful when it came to picking up larger trash, like kibble, and compared to other robotic vacuums, it won’t get stuck on fluffier carpets.

However, I don’t recommend it if your pet is scared of random things that are moving in the house. Just stick with the classic ones that you can use when your dog or your cat isn’t in the room.

Do you know other vacuums for pet hair that you can recommend or that we didn’t mention on the list?
