#9 Maine Coon Cat – $1,000-$4,000

The Maine Coon is known for being the biggest cat breed in the world. Stewie, a Maine Coon who was 48.5 inches long, holds the record for the largest domestic cat in the world.

But, all that size comes at a somewhat hefty price. Costs for a Maine Coon kitten from a reputable breeder start at around $1,000 for an “average quality” specimen. If you want a cat that can participate in competitions, you will have to invest several thousand dollars.

Despite her size and background, the Maine Coon cat is kind and gentle. She adores her family and can fit in anywhere as long as there is some space to play around.
