Stop

Stop is probably one of the most useful commands. After you finish the training session, your dog will automatically stop on command, which will also make your walks significantly safer. First, try practicing this trick on the leash.

If your dog stops too, give him rewards. You need to remember to add the disbandment command so your furry friend will know when to continue moving.

If your dog seems to innately understand this trick, you can increase the distance. Also, you can add a dragline.

Say “stop” again, and don’t move. If your dog is listening, reward him. You will soon be able to extend the duration before dissolving the command.
