#5 Doberman Pinscher

The courageous, devoted, and alert Doberman pinscher—described by the AKC as being extremely clever and easily trainable—was created by a German debt collector with plenty of reason to make the ideal canine guard during his downtime. Let’s face it, when the tax collector calls, people tend to become very irritable.

These extremely athletic, tough-but-elegant-looking creatures, which are known for their speed, deep stamina, and fearless attitude, make excellent guard dogs. However, despite how scary this dog breed’s appearance may be, it is actually noted for being fairly gentle. Additionally, they are among the canines who respond remarkably well to instruction.
